Selected Paintings > "Gauze Grid"

This work is constructed by adhering gauze bandage strip to the canvas with Rhoplex. The gauze is layered one strip over another to form a diagonal grid. There is a decorative border on each work. The configured border and the relationship between the colors are stabilized and given coherence by the grid in the center. These works were an exploration of the possibilities of the “Pattern and Decoration” movement.
