"Portrait of Ball as a Young Man" exists only as a print. The sequence of events was that I made a sculpture as you see it. It was not received well so I had it photographed and made the photograph into a print. I then gave the sculpture a shave and it exists now as "Ball on the Wall" which is shown in the preceding image. My concept was to show the print and the sculpture together as a two part piece as shown in the next image.
I have grown to like the sculpture as a stand alone piece and would consider showing it alone.
